Services
At Connected Healing Psychotherapy we offer therapy for individuals in two formats: Individual Therapy Online from the comfort of your home or Walk and Talk Therapy.
Every individual enters into therapy with their own unique experiences, hopes, and therapeutic goals. I aim to create a holistic and personally tailored approach that pulls from a variety of modalities, including:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Somatic Therapy
Narrative Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Nervous system psychoeducation and neurobiological approach to mind-body healing
Coping skills and strategies for emotional regulation
Mindfulness-based techniques and inner child work
Individual Therapy.
Individual therapy may be helpful for individuals who are seeking support with navigating difficult life experiences, learning helpful strategies for coping with painful thoughts and emotions, and managing mental health concerns. Psychotherapy can also benefit individuals hoping to deepen their relationships with themselves and develop personal insight in understanding their behaviours.
Counselling sessions are currently being offered via telephone and a secure video platform.
Walk and Talk Therapy
Walk-and-talk therapy combines individual therapy with the healing forces of nature and movement. Individuals who align with this option can meet with me at an outdoor nature trail in Vaughan, Ontario, where we have the therapy session while walking at a pace that feels comfortable. Connecting with green spaces, pausing for rest and stillness, and soaking in the many restorative benefits of nature often contributes to a uniquely therapeutic experience.
Wearing shoes and clothing that are comfortable and conducive to movement when engaging in walk and talk therapy is recommended, and there is always the option of shifting your session to a virtual platform if the weather does not allow for an outdoor meeting.
“Connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship”
– Brené Brown
